I assure you it's not like I didn't want to. Or I procrastinated. Nothing like that. Truth be told, being born right before Thanksgiving isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's probably not as bad as being born right around Christmas, but still, not easy.
You know they say, the more kids you have - the more relaxed you parent. It's a bit true. I suppose. And then sometimes we over compensate - lol!
So, we decided that they deserved a real birthday party. One that included people other than the 6 people who live here.
They started off so small - 4 weeks early together weighed only 11lbs.
Babies on their way home from hospital-days old
And then, they got big and between the two of them, they weigh a total of 53lbs (Monkey 27lbs and Mini P nearly 26lbs).
3 years later - who wants cake?
They are as different as 2 can be.
He loves trucks, tractors, RV's, firetrucks and messing around in bed. She loves books, coloring and going right to sleep when it's nap or bedtime. He is a morning person and she loves to sleep in.
She wears whatever I ask her to wear (nearly) and he hates pants and long sleeved shirts and has certain shirts and shorts he wants to wear every day.
He loves breakfast. She loves lunch. (but they both love cake)
(she demolished her cake and he had leftovers :) )
She is totally potty trained. He...well, lets just say, doesn't wake up from nap or bedtime dry very often (he just doesn't care).
But they are sweet and lovable and genuine. They are head strong and independent. They are funny and wonderful individuals. And they truly love each other.
As long as she doesn't touch his new fire truck.
And they had a fabulous birthday. They loved what they got and they loved the people that came to party with us.
Hey, you are almost caught up....Thanksgiving pics? Really, the pics are great.
